The Hottest 12 Weeks of Winter

Calling all arts organizations that are performing, presenting, sharing, hosting, and generally showing awesome art during January, February, and March 2020 in the Downtown area.

Re-invigorating our downtown is a major objective for The City of Calgary and Calgary Arts Development is playing a part.

As an antidote for the dark days of winter, we are amplifying all the amazing arts events happening in the core (between 14th Street SW to Inglewood and 17th Avenue SW to the Bow River) during The Hottest 12 Weeks of Winter.

If your organization is holding an event downtown, please submit it to us as soon as possible to be included in the promotional activities for this initiative. We encourage you to use The Hottest 12 Weeks of Winter badge on your own events to help promote the idea that Calgary’s downtown is full of vibrant arts events all winter long. Let’s get the word out to as many Calgarians as possible!

• Add events@calgaryartsdevelopment.com to your mailing list.
• Email us at events@calgaryartsdevelopment.com with your press release and a photo.
• Add YYC What’s On as co-host on your Facebook events.

There are so many ways to share with us so Calgarians know how much there is to experience this winter in the arts scene. Of course, the sooner you get it to us, the sooner we can get it on yycwhatson.ca.
