Zorro: Family Code
The legend lives on in Alberta Theatre Projects’ family holiday show
- Location: Martha Cohen Theatre, Arts Commons 215 8th Ave. SE
- Price: $30 - $86
A swashbuckling, adventure-filled comedy about family, honour, and choosing the mark you want to leave on the world, don’t miss Alberta Theatre Projects’ family holiday show.
When Zorro’s arch nemesis escapes a California prison and flees across the ocean to a tiny Spanish town, the masked crusader is hot on his heels. But nothing can prepare the show’s hero for an encounter with a mysterious swashbuckler with the same moniker.
Written by Rebecca Northan, Bruce Horak, and Christian Goutsis, this world premiere production is sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
“Watching the extremely talented and funny cast lift the text off the page—and bring it to life in ways far more satisfying and hilarious than anything I imagined while hunched over, typing away at my laptop—has been pure joy in the rehearsal hall,” says Northan, who also directs the piece, in a statement. “It is our sincere hope that in sharing this world premiere with ATP audiences, that we are planting the seeds of a script that will see many more productions around the world.”
Zorro: Family Code runs November 27 to December 30, 2018 at the Martha Cohen Theatre, Arts Commons (215 8th Ave. SE).
