Calgary’s award-winning Spiritus Chamber Choir opens its season with a not-to-be-missed concert—The Peace of Wild Things—and you can win your way in. Under the baton of Interim Artistic Director Dr. Brendan Lord, hear the choir sing about the wild world in which we live, and the peace, beauty, and joy it holds.
The program features music from the Renaissance, including Thomas Weelkes’ The Period of Cosmography, a collection of Brahms partsongs, and new music by Canadian composers Cy Giacomin, Kristopher Fulton, and Jeffrey Ryan. Other highlights include Haitian composer Sydney Guillaume’s thrilling Wipip!!! and Norwegian/American composer Ola Gjeilo’s jubilant Unicornis captivator featuring pianist Evan Mounce.
The concert takes place at 3:00pm on November 3, 2019 at Cathedral Church of the Redeemer (604 1st St. SE) with a pre-concert chat at 2:30pm.
Enter before noon on Thursday, October 31, 2019 for your chance to win a pair of tickets.
