Calgary’s professional chamber choir adds a touch of colour to an upcoming symposium and you can win your way in! Join Luminous Voices for its season opener featuring Malcolm Forsyth’s wonderfully colourful work, Hesperides.
Written for a mixed choir and two harps, Hesperides set to suggestive poetry on the universal topic of love. Luminous Voices is joined by harpists Gianetta Baril and Scott Ross-Molyneux as it rounds out the concert with works from Swedish composer Sven-David Sandström, Fauré, Holst, and Swiss composer Antognini as well as Canadian Leonard Enns.
The afternoon also sees the premiere of a new work by Ross-Molyneux for choir and harp.
