For one day only, Philip Hansen, former principal cellist of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, is back in Calgary to present this solo cello recital. You can even enter to win your way in!
Hear Hansen perform J.S. Bach’s suites for solo cello No. 1, 2, and 6 entirely on Baroque instruments, including a rare five-string cello as specified by Bach himself.
This recital also marks the release of his new CD of the J.S. Bach Suites, recorded in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church.
The concert takes place at 3:00pm on January 19, 2020 at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 14th Ave. SW). Tickets are available at the door (cash only). CDs are also available for sale at the concert.
