A musical tour through time and place that visits J.S. Bach and his sons at the height of their musical prowess, join the Calgary Bach Choir as it opens its season with Bach & Sons in Leipzig, London & Dresden.
Now in its 32nd season, the Calgary Bach Choir specializes in the music of Baroque composers. The concert features music once heard in Leipzig (Cantata 150), Dresden (Adagio and Fugue in d), and London (Sinfonia in C) while going beyond the Baroque to explore the connections that inspired the young Mozart to compose his brilliant Regina coeli in C.
Calgary’s own radiant soprano Jonquil Reierson Koddo joins the Calgary Bach Choir and orchestra for this special event.
The concert takes place at 3:30pm on November 17, 2019 at Knox United Church (506 4th St. SW).
