Winning instant popularity in his time, Purcell’s Ode on St. Cecilia’s Day is a rich and varied work including exuberant choruses, wondrous solos, and amorous duets. Join Early Music Voices as they present Rosa Barocca, a brand new period instrument ensemble conducted by Claude Lapalme, along with VoiceScapes and special guest singers.
Ode on St. Cecilia’s Day takes place on November 6, 2016 at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 8th St. SW) with a pre-concert talk at 2:30pm and concert at 3:00pm.
