Are you ready to get a case of the chills? Celebrate Halloween with a rare screening of the 1927 classic film, Metropolis. Experience this silent film alongside organ accompaniment, improvised in real-time on the massive 1912 Casavant pipe organ of Knox United Church by Canadian concert organist and improviser, J. Thomas Gonder.

Metropolis portrays a futuristic city comprising a two-tier society of haves and have-nots who are kept unaware of each other’s existence. It was, when it was released in 1927, the most expensive film ever produced.

Families beware, this event is not suitable for children under 13 but you can come down at 7:30pm for G.H.O.S.T. (Great Halloween Organ SpookTacular). This free family-friendly musical variety show features the spooky pipe organ and takes place just before the screening.

Metropolis screens at 9:00pm on October 28, 2016 at the Knox United Church (506 4th St. SW).

Enter before noon on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 for your chance to win two tickets.
