Add your voice to a choir of 500 young singers from school and community based programs in and around Calgary for the first-ever Alberta Big Sing.

Under the direction of Canadian choral music icon, Dr. Mark Sirett, hear the choir perform a program ranging from Canadian folk songs to music by the famous pop music artist Adelle. The concert also features massed treble and lower voice choirs conducted by internationally renowned local conductors Elaine Quilichini and Dr. Timothy Shantz.

“One of the unique opportunities of the Alberta Big Sing will be for the treble choir to work with Mark and Elaine on Reel a bouche—Mark is the composer of the piece and Elaine is the editor,” says Choir Alberta Executive Director Dr. Brendan Lord, in a statement. “This is going to make not only for an insightful rehearsal but also for a very exciting performance.”

And to make the event even bigger, audience participation is also on the program. Audience members are invited to come ready to join the choir and help raise the roof.

The concert takes place at 8:00pm on November 16, 2017 at Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE). Discounted tickets are available for groups of 10 or more.

Enter before noon on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 for your chance to win two tickets.
