A one-night only fundraiser for Theatre Junction, Dave Kelly takes to the stage with a script sealed in an envelope. His task is not so simple—he must read and perform it cold, unrehearsed, in front of the audience.
Joining a long list of celebrities who have performed this worldwide sensation, Kelly must go on, no matter what. The play itself is about freedom of expression, human rights, and the universal right of being heard.
“Reading a script I’ve never seen about a play I know very little about in front of an audience is what my friends at Theatre Junction GRAND have asked me to do. So of course, I’m going to because who wouldn’t accept a challenge like that,” says Kelly in a statement. “It will be, I’m sure, a memorable night. And it will support Calgary’s oldest theatre.”
White Rabbit Red Rabbit takes place at 8:00pm on March 7, 2018 at Theatre Junction GRAND (608 1st St. SW). Tickets are $50 and are 18+.
