Art all is about communication and artists seek to tell stories that reflect both the world around them and the world inside of them.
Artists want to connect, create empathy, generate change, ask questions and seek answers. And often they want to bring healing. The disability community is often at a disadvantage when it comes to communication due to the challenges brought on by their disability or because of a world that is unwilling to take the steps to listen to them. But all voices deserve to be heard.
Join Fire Exit Theatre for this special showcase, celebration, and conversation around art and artists of mixed abilities. Featuring In-Definite Arts, Inside Out Theatre, Dubasov Dance and Wellness as well as the documentary film, We Regret to Inform You featuring Dr. Heidi Janz, Unl-ABLE-d runs of one show only with limited seating.
Unl-ABLE-d takes place at 7:00pm on March 2, 2017 at Centre Street Church (3900 2nd St. NE). The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and ASL interpretation is available.
