A family-friendly event, each year Calgary Pro Musica presents a lively and musical stage production and 2018’s is bound to be a roaring good time.

Geared towards children aged five and up and their families, don’t miss Tyrannosaurus Sue: A Cretaceous Concerto—an action-packed musical adventure set 70 million years ago.

Composed by Bruce Adolphe, the piece was originally commissioned by the Chicago Chamber Musicians in 2000 for the unveiling of the Tyrannosaurus Sue skeleton at the Field Museum in Chicago. Performers for the Calgary Pro Musica production include Samantha Whelan Kotkas as the narrator, Claude Lapalme as the conductor, and Green Fools’ own Dean Bareham as the puppeteer.

Catch Tyrannosaurus Sue: A Cretaceous Concerto at either 1:00 or 3:30pm on February 4, 2018 at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary (206 University Court NW).
