Étienne Lepage and Frédérick Gravel’s piece of existential pop comes to the Calgary stage thanks to a partnership with Springboard Performance’s Fluid Movement Arts Festival.
“Thus Spoke… is a collaboration between two of Montreal’s brightest… young talents. The show confirms the richness of anti-conformist sentiment coming out of the ‘new wave’ in Montreal,” says Mark Lawes, Theatre Junction’s Artistic Director, in a statement.
Looking at society’s contradictions and challenging the status quo, the piece seeks to defy the conventions of both dance and theatre while arousing the imagination of the audience without lecture.
Thus Spoke… runs October 18 to 21, 2017 at Theatre Junction GRAND (608 1st St. SW). The show is recommended for 18+ and contains sexual scenes and references, strong language, and political content.
