Inspired by evidence that definitively proves that Jamestown settlers resorted to cannibalism in the face of starvation, The Starving Time is an exploration of what it really means to be hungry.

A poetic piece of theatrical writing by Jenna Turk, The Starving Time is lyrical and non-liner. Part of Theatre Junction’s Next Stage season, the piece was originally developed through the Alberta Playwrights’ Network and the RBC Emerging Artists Mentorship Program.

The Starving Time runs June 7 to 10, 2018 at the Theatre Junction GRAND Studio (608 1st St. SW). The show is recommended for 14+. Tickets are $20 with a pay-what-you-can Sunday matinee.
