Named by the Toronto Film Critics Association as the Best Canadian Film of the Year, catch the Calgary premiere of this hit documentary.

The Stairs tells the story of three social workers over a period of five years, each of whom survived decades of street-involvement in Toronto and uses their own experiences to ease the paths of others. Featuring an introduction by director Hugh Gibson, other panel guests include co-founder of Changing the Face of Addiction, Jessica Holtsbaum, and AAWEAR’s Chelsea Burnham.

Can’t make it to opening night? A second panel takes place after the 3:30pm screening on January 20 featuring Leslie Hill from HIV Community Link, Rosalind Davis of Changing the Face of Addiction, and Don Baker from AAWEAR.

The Stairs opens at 7:00pm January 19, 2018 at The Plaza Theatre (1133 Kensington Rd. NW) and runs until January 25, 2018.
