When a young orphan girl is sent to live with her reclusive uncle on his dark and depressing estate, she discovers the key to a neglected garden and reawakens the magic locked inside. Directed by Theatre Calgary’s new artistic director Stafford Arima, the production showcases the transformative power of the imagination and the magic of theatre.
“I am thrilled beyond belief to be making my directorial debut at Theatre Calgary with this sublime musical,” says Arima, in a statement. “The Secret Garden holds a very special place in my heart, and casting this show was an absolute joy, as I got the opportunity to be introduced to so many of the glorious musical theatre performers in Calgary.”
