A musical documentary by Trevor Solway that showcases the talent and stories of four musicians from the Treaty 7 area, swing by the Globe Cinema for this free screening.
Solway, a Blackfoot filmmaker from Siksika Nation, uses storytelling to showcase local Indigenous musicians. Featured artists include Armond Duck Chief, an exuberant and jovial cowboy country singer, Bebe Buckskin, a free-spirited native Janis Joplin type, Darcy Turning Rope, a powwow singer with a storied heritage in traditional Blackfoot singing and drumming, and Olivia Tailfeathers, an elder who blends contemporary hymns with traditional drumming and Blackfoot words.
