In the Spring of 1944, seven Soviet soldiers are captured by the Germans in Nazi-occupied Poland and imprisoned naked, without possessions, in the empty basement of a monastery. Abandoned by their captors, the survivors of Colonel Petrov’s Special Reserve Forces abandon and ultimately redefine their concepts of order, society, and human nature.
Powerful, thought-provoking, haunting, and inspired by a true story, The Curing Room is an intense thriller that refuses to flinch. After receiving rave reviews in Lethbridge, the performance comes to Calgary for a limited run.
