An intimate evening with broadcaster Holger Petersen, join the National Music Centre for a conversation about his new book, Talking Music 2: Blues and Roots Music Mavericks.

Hosted by CKUA Radio’s Peter North and featuring a performance by bluesy slide guitarist Ellen McIlwaine, Petersen is a veteran Canadian broadcaster whose weekly Saturday Night Blues on CBC Radio has been a fixture on the network for 30 years and his CKUA network show, Natch’l Blues, has been aired every week since 1969.

Petersen also runs his own label, Stony Plain Records—one of Canada’s longest surviving independent record companies—and was a founder of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
