Who’s ready to check out free readings of newly created Canadian one-act plays? We certainly are.
Returning to the Lunchbox Theatre stage for the 30th year, this festival is dedicated to the creation, development, and production of new one-act plays. Year after year, many go on to great acclaim and this time you can see works by Trevor Schmidt, James Hutchison, Kirsten Van Ritzen, Meredith Taylor-Parry, Jennifer Wynne Webber, Darrin Hagen, and Arun Lakra. There’s even a Stage Two Workshop performance of Lest We Forget by Joe Slabe and JP Thibodeau.
The Suncor Stage One Festival of New Work runs June 9 to June 24, 2017 at Lunchbox Theatre (160, 115 9th Ave. SE). Head to lunchboxtheatre.com for the full schedule.
