Do you ever feel confused about love? You’re not alone! Stupid Cupid has been rigorously training in matters of the heart and she’s finally ready to get her wings. Liz McMullen returns to Calgary with her fringe circuit hit.

In it we meet Cupid in training as she tests the waters with her flashy love skills. But in the middle of her big exam, she accidentally shoots herself with one of her own arrows causing havoc—side effects of which cause feelings of lust, unwelcome singing, inaccurate nostalgia, and wandering fingers.

Written by Miguel Eichelberger and Kerianne Cameron, and directed by James Wren, the show follows Cupid’s misaimed arrow and the aftermath of falling in love with everyone in the audience.

Following a successful run at the Vancouver Fringe, Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, and Camden Fringe, Stupid Cupid makes a local three-show stop in McMullen’s hometown. Don’t miss this razor-sharp comedic take on love.

Stupid Cupid runs November 29 and 30, 2019 at the Joyce Doolittle Theatre, Pumphouse Theatre (2140 Pumphouse Ave. SW) and is not suitable anyone under the age of 17.
