An icon in the jazz world, Sheila Jordan returns to Calgary to share her creative, dynamic voice. Joined by Calgary’s new Poet Laureate and ground-breaking artist, Sheri-D Wilson, don’t miss this breathtaking performance.
Coming up to her 90th birthday, Jordan tours constantly around the globe and is one of the few vocalists who improvise lyrics. An emotional interpreter of ballads, she is a superb scat singer and has influenced vocalists and instrumentalists alike for more than seven decades.
Joining Jordan for her Calgary appearance are Andrew Glover, John Taylor, and Jonathan McCaslin.
The concert takes place at 7:30pm on June 7, 2018 at the Lantern Church (1401 10th Ave. SE).
