- Price: $25 - $35
Get your thumbs ready because social media and classical music are about to go head-to-head as the tweet seats return to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
The first Rush Hour concert of the season is a one-hour event with no intermission and conducted by Resident Conductor Karl Hirzer. The concert features some of the most familiar classical works of all time including the William Tell Overture and the Ride of the Valkyries. Folks in the designated tweet seat section can follow along with a live-tweet Q&A discussion hosted by @CPORush throughout the concert.
“The premise of this social media initiative is to make orchestral music accessible to everyone, we want to provide an opportunity for concert-goers to participate during a performance.” says CPO Director of Sales and Marketing Marion Garden, in a statement.
Rush Hour: The Best Loved Classics takes place at 6:30pm on October 13, 2016 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE). All tickets to this concert can be purchased through the Calgary Philharmonic Box Office at 403.571.0849 or online at calgaryphil.com.
