The first concert of the Calgary Civic Symphony season, Romantic Russians showcases the outstanding local talent of internationally recognized and Calgary-based pianist, Thomas Yu.
Yu as he joins the orchestra in presenting Rachmaninoff’s most celebrated piano concerto—Piano Concerto No. 2. The afternoon also includes Rowson’s Fanfare: a Sesquie for Canada’s 150th and Tchaikovsky’s mighty Fifth Symphony.
The concert takes place at 2:30pm on October 28, 2018 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave SE).
