An internationally-renowned pianist, Robi Botos is regarded as one of Canada’s most important musicians and you can catch him this October as part of JazzYYC’s Illumin8 Concert Series.
Botos has gathered accolades and awards all over the world including a JUNO Award for his most recent album Movin’ Forward, and the prestigious TD Grand Jazz Award. Acclaimed for his sense of swing and technical virtuosity, the Oscar Peterson protege fuzes bebop and modern jazz with Eastern-European folk and classical music.
For an evening of high-energy jazz, the trio is rounded out by top musicians Grammy Award-winning drummer Larnell Lewis of Snarky Puppy and JUNO-nominated bassist Mike Downes.
