Responding to the need for braver conversations around sensitive issues, a group of local young artists have teamed up with Movement With A Message to create this new theatrical production.
Rewritten brings together controversial pieces expressed through a mix of spoken word, dance, and original hip hop music. Facing hard stuff head on with courage, compassion, and community, the piece dives deeply into issues of sex, relationships, racism, colonialism, and a hope to be rewritten.
Rewritten runs November 16 and 17, 2018 at the DJD Dance Centre (111 12th Ave. SE).
