Reassembled, Slightly Askew

Immersive performance shares personal journey of rehabilitation

Buy Tickets

An immersive audio performance about Shannon Yee’s own experience of falling critically ill with a rare brain infection, Reassembled, Slightly Askew follows her journey of rehabilitation.

A Belfast-based playwright and producer, Yee’s autobiographical audio-based artwork was created with an interdisciplinary team of artists, her neurosurgeon, and head injury nurse, and won the 2017 SummerWorks Performance Festival Contra Guys Award for New Performance Text. Using advanced audio technology, audience members experience the show wearing headphones while lying on a hospital bed.

Reassembled, Slightly Askew runs January 5 to 13, 2018 at the St. Louis Hotel (403 8th Ave. SE) and is part of the High Performance Rodeo.
