A show that is sure to get you dancing, singing, and falling in love, join Front Row Centre Players as it closes its season with Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Based on the Oscar winning, smash-hit movie, this musical features a parade of dance floor favorites including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and I Love The Nightlife.

Tick (Bryan Smith), Bernadette (Brian Holaday), and Adam (Jeffery Follis) are a glamorous Sydney-based drag performance trio who agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback. Acquiring transportation in the form of a battered old bus—Priscilla—they battle prejudice and breakdowns to find love and friendship.

“Even though the movie came out 24 years ago, its messages and themes are still so relevant today,” says Director Mike Sornberger, in a statement. “It’s a show that, at its heart, is a celebration of humanity and acceptance. It touches on topics like gender identity, sexual orientation, discrimination, chosen family, and community in a beautiful way.”

Priscilla Queen of the Desert runs June 15 to 30, 2018 at the Beddington Theatre Arts Centre (375 Bermuda Dr. NW).
