An uncharted journey of bharathanatyam and Balinese dance, don’t miss this modern telling of a scene from the Indian epic Mahabharata.
Created by Sampradaya Dance Creations’ Artistic Director Lata Pada and Balinese choreographer Dr. Wayan Dibia, Pralaya portrays a dynastic conflict, earth-shattering chaos and finally, an abiding but tenuous calm. The production features eight dancers from across Canada, India, and Indonesia with narration by Pada and Dibia.
Pralaya makes its Calgary debut November 25, 2016 at the Wright Theatre, Mount Royal University (4825 Mount Royal Gate SW).
