An ever-surprising biennial of performative art, Mountain Standard Time (M:ST) brings Canadian and international performance artists to Calgary for a month-long festival celebrating experimental and risk-taking work that disrupts conventions.

With 15 performances, its ninth biennial investigates the limits of our freedom, the edges of borders, and our collective connectivity throughout theatres, galleries, and public spaces.

This year’s lineup includes exhibitions, interactive installations, performances, and interventions from Life of a Craphead, Mikiki and Jordan Aseneault, Suzanne Kite and Nathan Young, Adriana Disman, Didier Morelli, Emma-Kate Guimond, Eshan Rafi, Joanne Bristol, Joshua Rios and Anthony Romero, Gwen Morgan and Kerry Maguire, Kylie Ward and Magnus Tiesenhausen, Jadda Tsui and Mat Lindenberg, Ryan Danny Owen, Jeneen Frei Njootli, and Jin-me Yoon.

Performance week runs October 1 to 7, 2018 with artist talks, symposiums, publication launches, and more.

All events are free and all are welcome, M:ST 9 runs September 7 to October 7, 2018 at venues around Calgary. A full schedule can be found at mstfestival.org.
