Immortalized by an award-winning all-star jazz lineup, Miles Davis’ electric period takes centre stage at the Jack Singer as the Miles Electric Band closes the TD Jazz season at Arts Commons.

Led by Grammy Award-winning drummer, former bandmate, and nephew of the late jazz icon, Vincent Wilburn, Jr. performs alongside Robert Irving III on piano, legendary P-funk guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight, acclaimed percussionist Munyungo Jackson, saxophonist Antoine Roney, Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones, programmer/re-mixer Jeremy Ellis, and Grammy-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott.

“I’m blessed to share the stage with these stellar musicians interpreting the music of Miles Davis. Collectively, these global artists who span generations and genres, are dedicated and committed to preserving the artistic legacy of Miles,” says Vince Wilburn, Jr. in a statement. “Like Miles, they continue to push the cultural envelope forward, with an eclectic fusion of jazz, rock, hip hop, and world music, proving that the music of Miles will always transcend space and time.”

Catch Miles Electric Band perform at 7:30pm on April 27, 2017 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE).
