It’s your chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day CUFF-style and see a brand-new 2K preservation of Sarah Jacobson’s punk-spirited DIY feature preceded by her short I Was a Teenage Serial Killer.
Combining B-movie aesthetics and riot grrrl feminism, Jacobson was a one-woman 90s DIY powerhouse whose work was inspired by underground cinema, record labels, and zine culture. Her only feature film, Mary Jane’s Not a Virgin Anymore brings lo-fi realness to the coming-of-age genre.
The screening takes place at 7:00pm on February 13, 2019 at the Globe Cinema (617 8th Ave. SW).
