Second annual event raises funds to build the Centre's Art Pavilion

A unique opportunity to obtain outstanding works of art and meet an impressive roster of recognized artists, join the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre + Sculpture Park (KOAC) for its second annual fundraiser.
Join founders Katie Ohe and Harry Kiyooka, and over 50 renowned contemporary artists for a night of celebration. Featuring contemporary jazz music performed by Andrea Petrity and complimentary Scotch tasting of the Macallan 1824 Series, this year’s gala includes works from visual artists Alex Janvier, David Burdeny, Chris Cran, John Will, Victor Cicansky, Alex Caldwell, Tia Halliday, and many more. Also on the schedule is a keynote from Alex Janvier, one of the most celebrated Canadian painters.
To establish the Centre, Ohe and Kiyooka donated their 20-acre Springbank property, their art collection, personal works, and a generous endowment fund. Funds from the auction go towards the construction of the Centre’s Art Pavilion, which will be used for KOAC’s exhibitions, symposia, and art education programs.
The KOAC Gala & Art Auction takes place at 7:00pm on April 7, 2017 at Hotel Arts (119 12th Ave. SW).
