Visually stunning and redefining, get ready for a sensory overload as Theatre Junction GRAND opens its 25th anniversary season with Hiroaki Umeda’s Intensional Particle + split flow.

“Hiroaki Umeda is one of those singular artists who over many years of research, collaboration and technical innovation, has developed a live-art form that he can call his own,” says Artistic Director Mark Lawes, in a statement. “The combination of high-tech video, laser lights and electronic music that merges with the body creates a visual and sonic landscape not easily forgotten. Visceral, immersive and beautiful.”

Choreographer and multidisciplinary artist Umeda is recognized as one of the leading figures of the Japanese avant-garde art scene. Stemming from his profound interest in choreographing time and space, his work encompass dance, composition, light design, scenography and visual art.
