A new series of eight pop-up parties fuelled by entertainment and exploration, head to Lougheed House on the last Thursday of the month for History Happenings.

It all kicks off this February with a chance to immerse yourself in the dynamic history of post-war celebrations.

Enter a classic meat draw inspired by the Royal Canadian Legion, learn a new step or two during an ongoing Edwardian-Style dance class, enjoy historically funny performances by The Kinkonauts, or create your own pinhole art inspired by the trench art that soldiers brought home. You’ll be sure to walk away with a new appreciation of the lives of Canadian veterans coming home after WW1.

Each Happenings event has a dynamic, free-flowing schedule—drop by at any time during the event.

Coming Home: A Centennial Celebration takes place from 5:30 to 9:30pm on February 28, 2019 at Lougheed House (707 13th Ave. SW).
