Calling history buffs and all who love a good yarn. Historic Calgary Week returns for the 27th year with talks, walks, concerts, family events, museum visits, and much more.

Chinook Country Historical Society highlights Calgary’s cultural, institutional, industrial, architectural, sporting, and military heritage with over 60 events taking place around the city. Offerings include History for New Canadians—a partnership with the Calgary Public Library that offers newcomers a change to hear local stories and history on August 4—and a new family-friendly festival taking place at the Genesis Centre on August 5.

Historic Calgary Week runs July 28 to August 7, 2017. All events are open to the public and are free of charge but donations are appreciated. Some events do require pre-registration due to limited space. Full details can be found at chinookcounrty.org.
