Alberta bluesman Harpdog Brown has rapidly stacked up critical acclaim and has been active in Canada’s blues scene since 1982.
Winning Harmonica Player of the Year at the Maple Blues Awards for three consecutive years, Brown is known for injecting energy and humour into traditional material, and is one of Canada’s most distinctive blues singers and harp masters.
Bringing his Travelin’ Blues Show to Arts Commons Presents, rounding out the bill is hill country bluesman Sugar Brown, aka Dr. Ken Kawashima, a Canadian bluesman of Japanese/Korean descent known for his sweet, dark, inconsolable blues.
