Granta 141: Canada
Special issue celebrates the diversity of social and literary life in Canada
- Location: Engagement Lab, Memorial Park Library 2nd Floor, 1221 2nd St. SW
- Price: $15
Celebrating the diversity of social, political, and literary life in Canada, join Wordfest, the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and the Calgary Public Library for the launch of a special issue of Granta.
Each themed issue of Granta turns the attention of the world’s best writers on to one aspect and this time around it’s Canada. Edited by Catherine Leroux and Madeleine Thien, the special issue unravels the idea of Canada, a young nation settled on land that carries 14,000 years of Indigenous history.
Featuring conversations and readings from Madeleine Thien, Alex Leslie, Lisa Moore, and Anakana Schofield, the afternoon is hosted by Zsuzsi Gartner and includes an audience Q&A followed by a book signing.
Wordfest presents Granta 141: Canada at 2:00pm on November 25, 2017 at the Engagement Lab, Memorial Park Library (2nd Floor, 1221 2nd St. SW).
