Calgary is ready to shine this Family Day weekend as the inaugural Downtown Winter Light Festival kicks off.
Fully family-friendly, GLOW will see 12 different light art installations set up around the downtown core and includes Caitlind R.C. Brown & Wayne Garrett’s tribute to fading celestial bodies and outmoded civic lighting—Monument to Fallen Stars.
GLOW looks to fill in the darkness during what is Calgary’s typically coldest and most challenging month of the year with workshops, a family skate party, and a chance to hit the AfterGlow Lounge at Contemporary Calgary (117 8th Ave. SW).
