Experiments in Public Art Opening Reception

This group exhibition features socially engaged ideas for public art developed over a five-month period in workshops led by internationally renowned artists. As a result, each participant developed an original proposal for public art in Calgary which will be presented publicly for the first time in this group exhibition. Hieronymus Bosch: Touched by the Devil

In 2016, the Noordbrabants Museum in the Dutch city of Den Bosch held a special exhibition devoted to the work of Hieronymus Bosch. In preparation for the exhibition, a team of art historians crisscross the globe to unravel the secrets of his art in the hope of discovering more about the artist’s process. Follow their journey in this documentary film. Shown in Dutch, English, Italian, and Spanish with English subtitles.

Creating Science Fiction Objects

Join TRUCK Contemporary Art for this special workshop with Romeo Gongora. Complementing his exhibition The Future Behind Us, this discussion-led workshop invites participants of all ages to collectively create objects that explore the show’s themes. Participants are invited to bring used objects (plastic bottles, clothes, shoes, etc.) to be transformed over the course of the workshop. Moderated by the artist, the outcomes of this 90-minute workshop will be included in the exhibition.
