There’s a chance to dive into Poetrology, Canada Day celebrations, Sunnyside Salsa Wednesdays, and so much more, so you have no reason to stay home. Here’s what we’re hitting up:
ProArts Presents Phyllis Wheaton Duo

REASSURANCE… Community Celebration

As a public artwork Recognition…Validation…Reassurance… takes the form of a social practice art project. Created by community participants for community benefit, the content addresses mental wellness and is devised and led by artist Dick Averns. Reassurance… is based on the premise that mental health is about self-expression but is often invisible. Presented along a city block in the downtown core, this 24/7 installation features nearly 200 artworks generated through free community workshops and you can swing by the community celebration this week.

Robert McClure Farmers’ Market offers a fresh take on Canada Day with this carnival celebration. The Indigenous Showcase returns to Prince’s Island Park, there’s a street fair in the East Village, and you can check out the One City, One Voice community sing-a-long at the Riverfront Stage.
