A month-long, province-wide festival of amazing and groundbreaking works of photography? We are so in.
With 40 participating galleries and a whole month of programming, the 13th annual Exposure Photography Festival should be on your to-do list this February. The festival features photography exhibitions, artist talks, opening receptions, and other events that celebrate the art of photography in all its forms.
And the newly opened Phase 1 of cSPACE King Edward (1721 30th Ave. SW) will be serving as a central festival hub with three month-long exhibitions that provide direct opportunities for photographers—the 2017 Emerging Photographer Showcase, the Open Call Group Exhibition, and the Auction Gallery.
Other festival highlights include North of Ordinary: The Arctic Photographs of Geraldine and Douglas Moodie opening February 18 at Glenbow, Camouflage (Hulinhjálmsteinn) at the Christine Klassen Gallery, and the 2017 Closing Gala Photographers’ Ball on February 25.
