I Never Recognized Her Except in Fragments

Hannah Doucet’s new exhibition explores the fragmented, distorted images of female bodies represented in contemporary photography. Using images of bodies printed on fabric and then manipulated, the bodies become moldable, textural objects, further distorting perception.

Material Girls

This ongoing performance is presented as part of Wafaa Bilal’s exhibition, 168:01 and sees volunteer librarians unpack, catalogue, and slowly fill the library shelves with real art books donated by gallery visitors. At the end of the exhibition, all of the donated books will be sent to the University of Baghdad to help rebuild their library.
