Everyone We Know Will Be There
Tiny Bear Jaws hosts a house party in one act
- Location: A Residential House 10 Tuscarora Way NW
- Price: $12 - $17
Coming off a sold-out run at Edmonton’s NextFest, don’t miss the Calgary premiere of Tiny Bear Jaws’ Everyone We Know Will Be There: A House Party in One Act.
A site-specific play written by Elena Belyea, directed by Andrew Ritchie, and presented by Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre, each performance follows one of five central characters through a house party celebrating Bradley Freeman’s 17th birthday.
Set in a residential home, the show splits its audience into groups to follow one of the central characters (the outcast, infiltrator, deceiver, archivist, and host) and allows the viewers to observe the party through their character’s eyes.
An investigation of teenage sex, identity, queerness, consent, and lessons best learned in the dark, the party’s raucous atmosphere is amplified by an ensemble of party guests embroiled in their own personal dramas.
Everyone We Know Will Be There runs 7:00 and 9:30pm nightly from June 14 to 17, 2017.
Tickets are $17 for first performance, $15 for second, and $12 for any subsequent performance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early in weather-appropriate clothing.
