As part of its annual general meeting, Chinook Country Historical Society is hosting a dinner followed by a talk by retired Parks Canada warden, Dale Portman.

Portman spent his career working on avalanche control in the backcountry of the Rocky Mountains and his experiences in the raucous of the 60s and 70s captured the freedom and spirit of the era.

The evening takes place at 5:00pm on March 27, 2018 at The Danish Canadian Club of Calgary (727 11th Ave. SW). Tickets for the dinner are available in advance through sarpatharv@gmail.com. And if you can’t come for dinner, make sure you swing by at 6:30pm for the free talk.
