Bringing together admired artists to collaborate and create a guided art jam, ARTICLE 11 invites you to visit, return, and soak in an Indigenous art party on land long cared for by Blackfoot, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina nations.
ARTICLE 11 is an Indigenous arts activist creation and production company named for the 11th article in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Each day begins with an in-depth artist talk, DECLARE, at noon, followed by an open lab from 2:00 to 5:30pm that informs the evening performance at 7:00pm. All are welcome.
DECLARATION takes place January 25 to 27, 2017 at the Calgary Municipal Building (800 Macleod Trail SE) and is part of the High Performance Rodeo, running January 5 to February 2, 2017.
