Crawlspace
Karen Hines’ Kafka-esque piece explores the nightmare of home ownership
- Location: The Studio at The GRAND 608 1st St. SW
- Price: $15 - $40
Marking its Calgary theatrical premiere at this year’s High Performance Rodeo, Crawlspace is a comic, Kafka-esque monologue about the darker side of home ownership.
Much more than a cautionary tale, Karen Hines’ dark humour is the perfect fit for a brutal battleground of real estate, decorative twig orbs, and the state of the human soul. The show was inspired by Hines’ true story of buying what seemed like the perfect little coach house until it all went horribly, nightmarishly wrong.
Enthralling and haunting, this show is a must for those who appreciate dark comedy.
Crawlspace runs January 15 to 19, 2019 at The Studio at The GRAND (608 1st St. SW).
