Gleaming with glittering gold alongside wondrous performing artists, delicious food and drinks, fun for the entire family, and spellbinding music, Circle: The Traveling Food, Beer and Music Carnival returns with an expanded lineup.

Over the last five years, Circle has brought individuals together for a day of unique carnival flare. This year’s expansion to two days brings a refreshed combination of international and local musical talent sure to keep everyone grooving until the last note is played.

“I’m thrilled to finally be able to announce this new addition to Circle,” says Baran Faber, co-founder of BassBus and Circle, in a statement. “It’s been such a wonderful journey bringing Calgarians together to celebrate music, art, food, and beer these last five years. We have an immense amount of talent to share in this city. Adding a second night to the festival will allow us to bring even more great entertainment to the stage.”

The annual event features a carnival market featuring local artisan vendors, circus performers, a wiener dog race, local food, and two curated stages of festival favourites. Friday night sees a new adult-only night showcasing beats from Ardalan, Barisone, El Papachango, Phibes, Kytami, Max Ulis, Sergio SP, and Calgary’s very own Millz Skillz and Thompson Outfit, while Saturday offers family-friendly activities alongside amazing music and performances.

The Circle Carnival runs September 13 and 14, 2019 at Shaw Millennium Park (1220 9th Ave. SW). Carnival passes and a full schedule can be found at circlecarnival.com.
