Setting the mood for a busy season, Alberta Theatre Projects goes back to the farm with its family holiday show. Directed by ATP’s own Laurel Green—her directorial debut—and adapted by Joseph Robinette, E.B. White’s classic children’s book once again graces the Martha Cohen stage.

“I loved the book as a kid, so directing this show is a dream come true,” says Green in a statement. “E.B. White was a beautiful writer who really respected his audience, even when he was writing for kids, and I always appreciated that.”

Sharing the story of an unlikely friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a spider called Charlotte, you won’t want to miss this music-filled adaptation. Complete with the live musical composition of local indie music artist Ethan Cole, the show features aerial silks artist and actor Léda Davies in the role of Charlotte with Calgary actor and singer Tenaj Williams as Wilbur.

Charlotte’s Web runs November 21 to December 31, 2017 at the Martha Cohen Theatre,  Arts Commons (215 8th Ave. SE). Suggested for ages five and up.
