Back with its Canadian focused fall festival, join JazzYYC for a lineup of exciting collaborations, workshops, and all-ages events including a free jazz walk featuring local musicians.

Bringing some of Canada’s brightest jazz stars to Calgary for a celebration of music, the sixth annual festival from Calgary’s jazz collaborative includes a tribute performance from Jack Semple honouring B.B. King and so much more.

“This year we are excited to present our annual showcase featuring top Canadian talent with an exciting headliner show featuring blues guitar master Jack Semple paying tribute to his musical idol B.B. King,” says JazzYYC Artistic Producer Kodi Hutchinson in a statement. “We are so excited to feature a strong lineup of music that will appeal to jazz fans ranging from new listeners to veteran jazz fans with prices fitting any budget.”

There are even free workshops to check out that feature musicians providing training, tips, and ideas in improvisation, composing and arranging, and composing and performing.

Tevet Sela & John Roney

Ellen Doty

A Night of Seduction

The Thrill Ain’t Gone
